Trying out Ubercart

Having worked in the past with a few shopping carts, and even written part of one myself (www.fluffycat.com/Java-Cart/), I thought I'd give one of the Drupal carts a go. So, I've decided to install Ubercart. I don't think I have any actual products to sell on DrupNewb, so maybe I'll just sell digital media like cat photos (if you can sell digital media with Ubercart) or something small like beach pebbles or pennies. I don't really want to sell any of these goods, but to thoroughly test Ubercart out want to set up the cart as if I intend to sell something.
This is clearly harder than the usual Drupal module to install, because there are a lot more files than the usual Drupal module, and maybe there are some complex steps involved. As usual I got the module zip file from the Drupal site, (drupal.org/project/ubercart), unzipped the file into an ubercart directory, and uploaded that into sites/all/modules. It is a lot more files than the usual module to decompress and upload, so make sure your files have finished decompressing before you begin to upload.
Once I had everything set I got "Fatal error: Call to undefined function uc_product_node_info() in /home/brill12/public_html/drupnewb/sites/all/modules/ubercart/uc_attribute/uc_attribute.module on line 173", which may have been because I didn't do something I needed to do. Luckily for me Ubercart has it's own site (www.Ubercart.org) with install instructions, but unluckily for me the site seems to be offline right now, so I guess I'll be trying out Ubercart some other time.
So, I've deleted the whole Ubercart directory, which at least has Drupnewb.com back online.
